An excellent opportunity to join a global, market leading organisation within the Industrial gasses sector.

My client is growing their internal EH&S team with the addition of an experienced EH&S professional. The role holder will provide timely, accurate and pertinent EHS support to facilitate the implementation of the company's EHS Management System and ensure compliance with national legislation across the Industrial Gases business. A strong communicator and influencer, you will be capable of sound judgement, backed by operational and technical credibility. Safety is our core value and working principal.

Duties include:

·Provision of timely, accurate and relevant EHS specialist advice and site support including: training, site assessments, accident and incident investigation, review of and assistance in applying Safe Systems of Work.
·Provision of on-site support to operating facilities in extraordinary circumstances e.g. during major projects, complex shutdown activities or major modifications.
·Delivering EHS classroom training in accordance with EHS&Q objectives
·Providing EHS support to develop successful partnerships with long term contract companies and their staff.
· Providing ongoing BSP behavioural safety coaching and assessment for all levels of the UK & Ireland Industrial Gases organisation.
·Facilitating the implementation of new or revised Global or local company EHS Standards and training materials; to participate when requested in the revision of the Global material.
·Assisting Line Management to ensure all incidents are adequately investigated and effective corrective actions are implemented. For High Significance incidents engaging personally and directly with Root Cause investigation teams to ensure a thorough, consistent approach, especially regarding Behavioural Safety and Human Factors.
·Performing the duties of certified DGSA; monitoring performance, additional driver training, providing advice, and accident/incident investigation.
·Representing Air Products and participating in working groups of external industry associations such as BCGA to coordinate and represent of cross-Company development of UK Gas Industry guidance. Thereafter, communicating of developing guidance throughout the Business and ensuring implementation.
·Developing bespoke risk assessments necessitated by high risk activity or by deviation from established base policy, working with Process Safety and Central Technical resources as required.
·Working with the commercial, engineering and marketing teams to ensure that new products, applications and initiatives comply with global and local Company standards and legislation.
·Developing safety initiatives to address observed trends in incident or other safety data.
·Participating in the EHS self-assessment and audit process, and assisting Line Management to identify and implement preventive or corrective actions arising from those audits.

Candidates of Graduate level with an Engineering degree and an interest in H&S will be considered.
