In this Medical Affairs Lead role you will take initiative and responsibility for forming the strategic direction of the Medical Affairs function within Digital Therapeutics and Patient Services Access solutions BU.
You will play active part in making decisions defining Medical Affairs approach to the generation of clinical evidence and various medical activity, supporting patient access to and the relevant adoption of high medical value In Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs) and associated interventions within clinical pathways.
The overall objective will be to appropriately support and collaborate with the healthcare environment to create access which meet identified clinical need and the interests of patients, clinicians and healthcare commissioners and providers.

Your range of responsibilities will include:

*Managing and facilitating all aspects of Medical Affairs function;
*Developing strategic vision, planning and execution of medical, scientific and clinical research activities;
*Leading team of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research Managers;
*Designing and delivering an effective and integrated scientific and medical approach to aiming for high quality patient care;
*Identifying and Developing relationships with clinicians as well as policymakers, patient groups, professional bodies and trade associations e.g. ABHI, APBI, TechUK;
*In conjunction with other teams, develop cross-portfolio strategies which augment and align to our approaches in Market Access, Public Affairs, External Communications;
*Developing team's skills, harnessing their capabilities on delivering on complex projects;
*Continuously develop and improve on knowledge and understanding of scientific, compliance, regulatory, ethical and commercial developments within the health sector;
*Developing your clinical and scientific knowledge of key priority disease areas (oncology, cardiac, woman's health);
*Consistently apply and promote best practice and industry compliance with MEDTECH regulations as well as adhering to company's policies
* Assume accountability of the departmental budget and hold responsibly for highly accurate financial management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Essential:
*Full Medical Degree and relevant clinical experience within the UK NHS system.
*Specific raining in Medical Affairs e.g. Pharmaceutical Medicine Speciality
Training.
*Line Management and leadership experience
*Credible experience within the healthcare industry
*Excellent communicator at all levels and situations with a strong ability to persuade and influence

Desired:
*An MBA or related advanced degree in Business would be a bonus
*Ambitious and strategic thinking
*Strong business acumen
*Experience in successfully leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to successful project completion.
