Description

The company helps organisations capacity and foresight to adopt AI into their business. They're helping make AI real across society by delivering a matrix of strategy, software and skills to their customers: everything needed to successfully create value from AI. Founder-led and with over 80 PhDs, the experienced team of specialises across health care, finance, government, retail, engineering, construction and a host of other sectors.
They believe that AI should be trustworthy, impactful and beneficial across society. Those principles underpin their work with more than 230 organisations across the public and private sectors as they help them integrate AI to make better decisions.

What you'll be doing:

They are looking for an experienced Product Designer, with a balanced mix of UX and UI skills, to create bespoke AI applications for their customers, enabling them to make use of this powerful technology, safely.
You will be helping bridge the gap between technology and people to ensure their AI applications tackle the right problems and are applicable, safe and accessible.
As a Product Designer, you'll help achieve that goal by designing products that bring AI to life and help their customers make more intelligent decisions for their organisation.
They're a rapidly growing organisation, so roles are dynamic and subject to change.

Your role will evolve alongside business needs as well as your personal aspirations; but you can expect your key responsibilities to include:

*Designing bespoke AI applications that tackle specific customer problems across a wide range of sectors, from health care to the public sector and consumer businesses. These solutions will include dashboards, feature-rich B2B products, and data visualisations.
*Leading the design process in collaboration with delivery teams of data scientists, engineers and commercial managers.
*Contributing ideas and wireframes to customer pitches and demos, and rapidly prototyping the vision for a proposed solution.
*Conducting user research with customers to understand their workflows, goals, and pain points; synthesising findings and communicating insights to the delivery team in order to inform and refine the scope of the solution.
*Communicating your design thinking through user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs (with varying levels of design fidelity), presenting alternatives and justifying design decisions where necessary, both to customers and to delivery teams.
*Creating high quality visuals and interactions, based on a strong understanding of good design principles as well as the brand.
*Being a team player within the design & product team, actively participating in our activities and design critiques as well as contributing to scaling the design and product capability across the company. You will be expected to contribute to the design vision for the company; encourage and ensure world-class design execution by helping set standards and best practices.
*Contributing to and helping grow the design system.

Requirements

Your attitude and behaviour are just as important as your technical skill. They look for individuals who can support their values, foster their culture and deliver for their organisation.

They like people who combine expertise and ambition with optimism. Who are interested in changing the world for the better - and have the drive and intelligence to make it happen.

If you're the right candidate, you probably:

*have at least mid level experience, ideally working with data or on business intelligence / AI-based applications.
*Experience in carrying out the end-to-end design process independently, with examples of activities that span across user research, UX, and UI.
*A portfolio showcasing a range of projects, with examples of your design process and artefacts you produced along the way.
*Examples of work where you have done discovery and research to understand a complex problem and then synthesised your findings to come up with design solutions.
*Knowledge of prototyping and design tools. They use Miro, Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, but are quick to adopt better tools and processes, so you'll be more than welcome to contribute all the good practices you've used before.
*Excellent verbal, written, and visual / presentation communication skills.
*Background in a quantitative discipline, like mathematics or computer science.
*Demonstrable interest in working on data science / AI applications.
*Demonstrable interest or experience in data visualisation.

Benefits

It takes all sorts to make AI real

They know that they can't make AI real if their people don't reflect the real diversity of society. More importantly, discrimination of any kind doesn't align with their ethics. With that in mind, they welcome applications from all ages, genders, identities, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds.

They also know that equality and inclusion go beyond the hiring process, so they work hard to make the company a comfortable, safe and supportive environment for everyone.
