We are looking for an experienced Lead Genomics Data Scientist for a new innovative programme to identify and overcome lack of diversity in genomic datasets. This position will take the lead in shaping and delivering the analytics of the programme, including developing, prototyping and validating new features for genome analysis, developing bioinformatics datasets and communication with stakeholders.


Additional Requirements

* Background in statistical genetics, statistical bioinformatics, biostatistics with experience related to statistical genetics or genomics

* Experience in human population genetics or genetic epidemiology with a focus on diverse populations

* Experience with bioinformatics techniques and approaches (e.g. WGS)

* Experience with leading genomic research projects from interception to deliverables


Qualifications

* PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology or equivalent

* Strong programming skills (Python, R)

* Experience with cloud-scale data processing and high performing computing

* Analytical/statistical background
