Service Description

The Datacom Team provides a reliable and fault-tolerant communication network supporting:

Fixed and satellite telephony

Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity

Network security

Telecommunications platforms enabling remote operation and monitoring of high-voltage substations

Data collection and physical security

Communication with partner companies

To reinforce the Data Transport Network Operations Center (NOC), our client is seeking a Data Transmission Network Operator.
The mission is to ensure the continuous and stable functioning of the datacom network, manage incidents efficiently, and coordinate maintenance and repair activities-both planned and unplanned.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure the correct functioning of all Datacom platforms

Analyze, resolve, and escalate network issues when necessary

Collaborate with network architects, product owners, and external partners

Communicate with stakeholders regarding incidents, technical issues, and planned work

Respond to requests from internal teams and third parties

Perform administrative tasks to maintain documentation quality

Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, ICT, or Telecommunications, or equivalent experience

Practical and operational knowledge of modern LAN & WAN networks, including:

SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VOIP

Network management systems

Experience as Helpdesk Officer or Network Operations Engineer is a plus

Languages (mandatory):

Fluent in Dutch or French

Good knowledge of the other national language

Good working knowledge of English

Strong motivation to continuously learn

Ability to work independently and methodically

Strong analytical and communication skills

Stress-resistant and flexible mindset

Additional Information

Work regime: Full-time

Location: Brussels

On-site presence: 2 days/week minimum

Working hours: 07:30 - 16:00

Possess a valid Belgian work permit

Hold a valid Belgian residence permit
