Linux System Engineer

* Role: System Engineer
* Location: Brussels area
* Type of contract: external consultant - eligible candidates can work either as freelancer or as future employees of INNOVA solution under open-ended contract (CDI).
* Duration: medium- long term
* Start Date: 4 weeks
* Sector: Financial Services
* Languages: English Mandatory (French or Dutch are a plus)

Role description:

Required Responsibilities:
* To understand the complete architecture in depth.
* To guide and actively participate in setting up test environments
* To understand the Geo-redundancy and HA concepts for distributed infrastructure
* To design and implement the CI/CD pipelines
* To manage all security aspects of the (design, guide pen tests,...)
* To explore all technical possibilities for remote access to test environments and implement the best of them
* To design and support the setup of automated testing. The writing of automated test scripts and the execution of these scripts will be done by other System Team members.

* Technical conceptual orientation
* A broad technical background, knows the basics of OS (Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift), routing, load balancing, security...
* Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform...)
* Analytic skills, capable to analyse complex new requirements and translate them in an implementation plan
* Synthetic skills, capable to clearly communicate about the status and the next steps
* Document writing skills, capable of writing clear and comprehensive documents
* Presentation and moderation skills, capable of leading technical meetings with colleagues from own and other teams in order to come to a consensus on a solution or a design
* Capable of navigating in the relationship between application vendors and the internal infrastructure provider

- Fluent English
- Dutch/ French is bonus
