Now Hiring: Engineer - Air & Fuel System Components

Location: Peterborough, onsite | Function: Component Engineering
Employment Type: Contract

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of air and fuel system components across both new and current engine platforms. You'll work as part of a small, friendly team, in close collaboration with global engineers, suppliers, and production facilities - delivering robust, high-quality solutions from concept through to production.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Deliver air/fuel system/component development projects to time, cost, and quality goals
* Lead design reviews and support cross-functional business cases
* Drive supplier collaboration through specification development and APQP
* Use FMEA to assess risk; define validation through DVP&R
* Investigate and resolve technical issues using 8D methodology
* Interpret customer needs with Product Management and translate into robust designs
* Collaborate globally to implement engineering solutions at worldwide sites
* Reflect on lessons learned to drive continuous improvement using Lean tools

What You Bring

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience)
* 6-8 years of experience in component design, validation, and testing
* Strong understanding of combustion engine fundamentals, performance, and emissions systems
* Expertise in:
o Fuel systems, air systems, EGR, turbochargers, and engine performance
o 3D CAD design using PTC Creo
o PLM tools like Siemens Teamcenter
o Data analysis tools: Diadems, vCDM, and Microsoft Office Suite
* Solid knowledge of manufacturing principles and mechanical engineering fundamentals
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
* Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to drive innovation
