Job Description

Within this role you'll be responsible for Architecting solutions that support the interpretation of genomic data to support NHS clinicians. As a member of our interpretation product squad you'll be working in close partnership with the NHS and AWS as we seek to deliver transformative insights and visualisations of complex genomics data. This role offers you an opportunity to deploy your architecture skills across a broad range of technology to help transform the way clinicians are able to gain actionable insights. This capability offers an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of technology across a number of domains in visualisation, data science, AI and big data.
On a day to day basis you'll be working on API Architecture, whether that's AWS API Gateway or focusing on Microservices and Serverless technologies (we use Lambda). You'll be working with Big Data Platforms (we currently manage over 40PB of data) so day to day you'll be using things like; AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, AWS document DB and MongoDB
You'll also be comfortable working with Python and React and have experience working with
Visualisation tools.
At the heart of everything you'll be a problem solver with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to bring a technical design to life. You'll ideally have knowledge and experience in some of the following:
*Experience with development of complex decision support systems including advanced visualisation / AI / ML
*Good exposure to API Architecture
*Strong knowledge of Big Data Platforms
*Solid AWS Architecture experience
*Knowledge of Security Architecture
*Web application architecture Python / React
*Knowledge of or an interest in Genomics
