Business Analyst - Ancillary Services (Energy Sector)

Role Description:
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting IT projects in the areas of "Market Development & Ancillary Services" within the "Customers, Market & System" department. Your key tasks will include:
Product Development: Supporting the business in designing new products or enhancing existing ones.
Business Analysis: Identifying and analyzing business expectations, modeling operational processes for designing or updating IT tools, and modeling data related to the processes to be implemented.
Backlog Management: Based on business needs, building and managing the product backlog, planning, and setting priorities throughout the development process.
Requirements Drafting: Drafting detailed system requirements for solutions based on business needs.
Solution Validation: Validating the functional analysis provided by the IT department to ensure the proposed solution meets requirements.
Testing & Validation: Writing test scenarios and executing them throughout the implementation sprints to validate developments. Supporting the business in specifying and conducting software validation tests (UAT).
Training & Support: Training and assisting the business in optimal tool usage.
Service Requirements:
Project Methodology Expertise: Experience in project management methodologies, particularly AGILE-SCRUM.
Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing various aspects of IT projects.
Languages: Fluency in English, and proficiency in either French or Dutch, with a solid understanding of the other language.
Educational Background: A degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, or commercial engineering.
Sector Knowledge: Interest in the energy sector is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills: Initial experience in collecting and analyzing business needs, including process and data modeling.
Functional Specification Expertise: Familiarity with writing and validating functional specifications.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and maintain a solution-oriented mindset. Customer focus, flexibility, critical thinking, and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Location: Empereur, Belgium.
Eligibility: For non-European candidates, a valid work permit and residence permit are required for employment in Belgium.
