Role Overview - Data Engineer

You will join one of the Product Teams and contribute to shaping the corporate data landscape. Your work will directly support better customer products and high-quality data services.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines

Develop efficient storage structures & materialized views

Build data exchange endpoints for end users

Contribute to data governance (glossary, modeling, lineage, quality)

Collaborate with business analysts to refine requirements

Support DevOps practices and automated testing

Write structured technical documentation

Deliver product features (not standalone technical solutions)

What You Will NOT Do

Work in isolation from business reality

Make unilateral business decisions

Deliver purely technical outputs without product value

Required Skills & Experience
Must Have

3-5+ years hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following areas:

SQL Server usage

Azure data stack:

Azure Databricks

Azure Data Factory

Azure Functions

Azure Stream/Log Analytics

Azure DevOps

Python development in Databricks

Willingness to learn new technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow…)

Experience with Power BI

Strong analytical mindset

Ability to interact with stakeholders

DevOps & testing mindset

Documentation skills

Customer-oriented approach

Product mindset

Nice to Have

SAP data integration experience

Experience in enterprise data governance

Languages

Fluent English - mandatory

Fluent in French, Dutch, or German - strong asset
