Are you passionate about electrical safety and want to shape the future of Control Engineers?
We're looking for a highly experienced Electrical Safety Consultant to review and update our Electrical Safety Rules, enabling a new direct route to Control Engineer authorisation - bypassing the current AP/SAP-only pathway.
As the Control Room transitions away from the execution team, the traditional development route (via AP/SAP) is causing a bottleneck. This project is about breaking that barrier and opening a clear, modern path forward.
What You'll Do:
* Review current Electrical Safety Rules (with internal support)
* Develop a training plan for Control Engineers (not requiring AP/SAP)
* Define direct authorisation requirements
* Draft updated Electrical Safety Rules reflecting these changes
What You'll Bring:
* Level 5+ in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Level 3+ Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH National Cert)
* Proven experience as a Control Person/Engineer
* Strong background in electrical safety and authorisation systems
Why This Role Matters:
This is a strategic, high-impact project. You'll shape a framework that enables faster, more flexible development of Control Engineers - helping us future-proof operations.
