We are looking for an ICT Helpdesk Specialist based in Overijse

What are our expectations?

You are in contact with business users and assure a professional support for their ICT related questions. As ICT specialist, you will analyze and prioritize the demand and organize the support in function of priority and complexity. Your scope are the users based in Belgium and The Netherlands, 270 users. You will also be responsible or participate in ongoing projects for the Group.

How do you proceed?

1. Support

Provide day-to-day technical and functional ICT support to all employees in all entities of the company.
Interact with internal clients on all levels to help resolve ICT-related issues and provide answers in a timely manner (both physically and remotely)
Handle help desk escalations through tickets, phone or email
Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software
Train users, explain technical concepts to non-technical users, help users to become more comfortable and efficient with the usage of ICT equipment and software
Facilitate and enhance ICT communication channels between other teams and colleagues
Increase expertise in support by learning of resolutions from other teams and sharing knowledge with colleagues
Report on a regular basis to the ICT Support Manager and escalate any critical issue

2. Inventory Management:

Assist with the overall hardware (computer, tablets) operations- onsite or remotely for all BIA users
Install, configure and test new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
Ensure BIA images are up to date and all BIA laptops/desktops have a similar image
Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
Deal with suppliers for order of ICT equipment

3. Infrastructure:

Manage IT infrastructure (Active directory, Exchange, and other Group application technologies)
Manage network at the Benelux level as established by Quality/corporate Security Responsible
Perform timely hardware and software updates & upgrades when required
Ensure all server systems are properly backed up and restores are tested in a timely manner
Participate in infrastructure and application deployment projects at Group level
Audit and assess corporate ICT conformity and compliance across the Group
What are the requested skills?

Bachelor Degree in ICT
Experience in
o Windows Servers & Windows 10

o Managing Active Directory

o Messaging Platforms

o Office 365

o Network basics

o VMware

Demonstrate understanding and working experience in a similar role during at least 2 years
Fluent Dutch and French. Basic knowledge in English would be an advantage
Proven record of being effective in a fast-changing ICT environment
Supportive attitude enabling a high level of customer and service orientation along with a maximum of confidentiality
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Eager to learn and want to keep your knowledge up to date
Team-oriented, well organized and responsive
