Our client, a leading Banking Sector company, is dedicated to enhancing customer engagement and operational efficiency through advanced, automated solutions. The "Customer Servicing and Efficiency" tribe focuses on optimizing the bank's contact strategy by supporting remote interactions, automating processes, and implementing robust fraud prevention solutions (e.g., phishing, vishing).
Position Overview
The Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in leading an agile project team (squad) by applying the Scrum methodology. This individual will ensure a thorough understanding of the agile process within the squad, facilitating communication, promoting self-organization, and protecting the team from distractions. The Scrum Master will also work closely with business stakeholders to support project delivery, track progress, and coach the team toward efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Follow-up
Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and other key meetings.
Schedule and monitor the progress of essential steps within the Scrum methodology.
Guarantee smooth implementation of the Scrum framework and assist the squad in overcoming obstacles.
Provide support to the Product Owner on managing the Product Backlog.
Assist the team in delivering on the Definition of Done (DoD) and managing the Sprint Backlog.
Track team capacity and velocity to aid in planning and monitor project progress.
Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders regarding project status.
Project Methodology and Coaching
Coach and challenge the squad to promote self-organization and agile best practices.
Remove barriers that may impact team effectiveness, shielding the squad from external distractions.
Create and oversee a project delivery timeline, functioning as the Feature Delivery Owner when required.
Act as an Agile methods ambassador within the organization.
Report to superiors on the deployment and effectiveness of Scrum practices within projects.
Manage project risks and issues proactively.
Language Requirements
Dutch: Native or Fluent
French: Native or Fluent
English: Mandatory (at least one local language is required)
Telework
Expectation: 50% on-site, 50% remote
Agile Team Requirements
Agile teams are cross-functional, encompassing all necessary disciplines, including analysis, development, and testing. While each member has a primary responsibility, all team members are expected to support other roles and contribute to achieving the sprint goal.
Required Experience / Knowledge
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
Proficiency with agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g., Rally).
Familiarity with tools for automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration.
Solid understanding of software development and project management methodologies.
Technical Skills (Preferable)
Knowledge of IT Architecture and Full Stack development.
Business Skills (Mandatory)
Expertise in agile methodologies and techniques.
Advanced project management skills, with the ability to assume the role of an end-to-end Feature Delivery Owner.
Business Skills (Preferable)
Familiarity with the banking sector, banking products, and chatbot technologies.
